We had the scheduled
c section; therefore we were estimated to leave the hospital by Thursday. That being said we had a few days with many
visitors that stopped by to see our baby girl!
Including Mamay...
Including Grandpa Steve & Aunt Lauren...
Including Gamma D and Uncle Bob...
Including Grandpa Ray & Uncle Kyle (And Christopher who took the picture!)...
The first night was
pretty rough- very little sleep, nurses checking in hourly, vitals checked
regularly, lactation consultants stopping by to make certain she is eating
okay, and so forth. Additionally, 12
hours, AKA 2 AM after the surgery the nurse came in to make me stand up. I might have gotten an hour and half worth of
sleep the first evening.
Day two went very
well- I got my catheter out and was able to get out of bed and walk
around. I was walking around so much
that I packed up a bunch of our stuff and sent Shane with a large load to take
to the house! I was convinced we were leaving Wednesday afternoon-WRONG!
Tuesday night I got a
different night nurse. She told me to
just call for my pain meds and let me sleep…I was well rested, but woke up
hurting Wednesday! It ended up being a total catch up game until at least 2 PM
Wednesday to get to feeling like I was Tuesday.
Not fun.
By Wednesday evening
we were glad we stayed the extra night.
It was nice having the extra help, the final pediatrician check, the lactation
consultant, etc to feel/be prepared to venture off on our own!
