How Far Along: 14 weeks on 3.28.12
Size of Baby: Size of a lemon so baby is about 3.4 inches long and weighs about 1.5 oz.
What Baby’s Up To: Baby is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: No new gain this week, just up a total of 8 pounds.
Maternity Clothes: I have a couple pairs of elastic pants and skirts that I bought that make things much more comfortable than the BeBand does…plus I’m not wondering if the BeBand has ridden up this way..
Gender: Baby Shepherd is a Girl (according to the Gender Screen)!
Sleep: Still waking up about once a night…as long as this isn’t getting worse, I’m ok with it!
What I miss: Nothing really this week. I’ve discovered sparkling cranberry juice and now have a sparkling water addiction
Cravings: Health food this week! I have been trying to get healthy eating on track now that it feels like our schedules have slowed down recently…plus with the weather warming up fruit has really hit the spot.
Symptoms: I tire easily…I’ve been trying to go walking and the course I used to jog with my dog I cannot seem to completely walk without having to stop for a breather
Best Moment this week: Getting out with friends! I feel like before I was just tired all the time, so it felt good to go out to dinner and to the lake with friends.
