15 Weeks

Overall this has been a great week and we had a variety of things take place including a doctor’s appointment, a night with our niece, and a short work week!  Shane ended up not being able to come to the doctor, which meant that my niece stayed the entire timewhich was okay because it wasnt a bottomless appointment!  She was so excited to hear the heartbeat and even asked the nurse, Whats she doing in there?I took her to the zoo after where we had a blast, but I think what was more exciting was hearing about her boat ride with Uncle ShaneShe was following him around the house telling him she wanted to go and sail the ship.  My mom also came over for a bit and we were able to get most of the registry done at Babies R UsI think we are going to finalize everything at Target.

How Far Along: 15 weeks – 4.4.2012
Size of baby: An Orange, is 4 in long and weighs 2.5 oz.
What Baby’s Up To:  Baby's legs now out measure the arms and, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: No new gain
Maternity Clothes: All my regular shirts still fit but I’ve started rotating my regular pants (and shorts) with the elastic ones more frequently. The Be Band is good on jeans day at work, but is kind of a hassle with my dress pants…And I’ve become addicted to leggings…I know I’m late on this trend, but have discovered if I throw a necklace and a cardigan on it doesn’t totally look like I’m wearing pjs to work.
Gender: Baby Shepherd is a Girl (according to the Gender Screen)…but it will be nice to actually see it when we go in for a sonogram…
Sleep: Ok…I’m ready for bed at 9:30 but still waking up…I’m hoping exercise will help.
What I miss: Ritas…beer ritas, rocks ritas, frozen ritas, swirl ritas, all ritas.
Cravings: Bagels and cream cheese…we made a special trip to Tom Thumb and I got three different kinds along with some breads!
Symptoms: My headaches have been making me go bananas! I have been trying to watch what I’m eating to see what might be setting them off, but so far have not been successful.  My palpitations have also been worse but I don’t really notice them until after work when I have time to wind down.
Best Moment this week: Oh too many to count, but some of the highlights are listed above!

Here are some of the goodies my mom got for us while at Babies R Us!  I had to force Shane to take this picture by the way... My mom wanted to get us the swing, but I wanted something I could go home and play with and the swing just wouldn't fit the bill.
