30 Weeks

It’s unreal that I only have 10 weeks to go! I’m definitely getting more excited and can’t wait to meet her, as is Shane, but we still have so much to do before she arrives! It really is pretty nerve-racking and demanding.

I had my two week checkup and all looks good. I met with another doctor in the practice- they have me meet the others just in case my physician is not the one on call. She said my uterus is measuring on track, baby is head down, and her heartbeat is 144 bpm. We are scheduled for our 3D/4D sonogram on August 7th.  It will be exciting to see her again and see her features!

We took these before heading to close on our house last Friday...

How Far Along: 30 weeks on July 18th
Size of Baby: She’s now weighs about 3 pounds, is 18 inches long and the size of an eggplant.
Baby Updates:  Brain monitoring studies indicate that she is able to dream while sleeping. She can also now open, close and blink her eyes.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Based on my doctor’s scale no new gain! Woo Hoo! I’m thinking this is due to me laying off the sweets!
Maternity Clothes: I still wear my workout capris frequently, but my tops, jeans and shorts are all maternity…I also stick to my maxi dresses. I did find two pairs of dress pants for work the other day…I can’t believe school is so close to starting back!
Gender: Girl! Scarlett Camille
Movement: She’s still getting the hiccups and moving frequently.  She was head down (still) at my doctor visit which explains why I feel her hiccupping low.
Sleep: Sleeping well, not waking up to use the bathroom like I was.
What I miss: Not having the additional weight…It sure would make working on our house a lot easier!
Cravings: Sweets and fruit!
Symptoms: I’m having heartburn consistently every night- thankful that during the day it really isn’t that bothersome.
Best Moment this week: I always love feeling her move- but finally getting to work on the new house and get it prepared for move in has been a bonus as well.  We have gotten so much help from Shane’s dad and my mom- there is no way we could do it without either of them.
