We had our 11-12 week scan on Tuesday in order to follow up with our blood work which was to test for Down’s and other syndromes such as spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, and so forth. We have probably gotten three calls throughout the week as test results have come back.
According to the DNA work and the comparisons with the scans Baby Shepherd tests either negative or within normal range for any of the above, and we found out the baby has positive blood, which will mean I need the rhogam shot.
On the way to the doctor’s office I ate a breakfast bar and a banana, and let me tell you, this baby loved it! We went back to get a sono shortly after arriving, and the baby was kicking and punching so much we could hardly get any pictures. The ones we do have, have one leg out in the air or an arm flailing about. Shane and I were actually starting to get nervous because we were only seeing one long leg for the longest time…we thought even the sono tech might have been looking for the other one, but success, there are two long legs of equal length!
We also got to see the little ones heart beating away and listen to it a few times…It was fast at I believe 165 bpm.
We were only able to get about 3 good pictures and I will post them here soon!
