It has been another crazy week for us yet
again. I did have a doctor’s visit and
the doctor doesn’t think that she is too big just yet. But she did check my cervix and it looks like
there is no sign of her coming any time soon so she said I could wait until 37
weeks to come back. At the next visit we
will do a diagnostic sonogram and check her measurements and have a doctor
visit- It is so crazy that this will be the last time we see her on camera
before getting to meet her!!!
How Far Along: 35 weeks on 8/22/12
Size of baby: Your baby doesn't have much room to
maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds
(pick up a honeydew melon).
Baby Updates: She’s mostly developed with a majority of her
efforts going towards weight gain. If
born today, she’d do extremely well with little to no long term health issues.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 1 pound making it 25 of total gain- again my
count; the doctor and I are off by 3 pounds because I am convinced that I
gained 3 pounds in the first 8 weeks.
Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes…and excited to wear my new
maternity tops back to work!
Gender: Girl – Miss Scarlett
Movement: Super active and shifts around quite a bit. Her favorite thing is to stick her bottom all
the way over to my left side…Shane likes to push her back in the center
(gently) and watch her scoot back over again. It looks like my tummy is morphing!
Sleep: Still well- I’m exhausted by 9:30/10 pm with
these work days…I can only imagine how I will feel after the kids come back!
What I miss: Being able to reach my feet or shave my legs! For
the first time all summer I needed to put on regular shoes for work…well
wearing flip flops all summer I never realized I couldn’t reach my feet until
the other day!
Cravings: Greek Salads and cantaloupe! I have been living
off these two things this week- Shane’s aunt sent us back with a ton of
cantaloupe after the wedding and it’s so refreshing to eat after work!
Symptoms: I still have had horrible reflux! I have been
trying to be careful not to bend over so that stomach acid doesn’t end up in my
throat. I also am starting to experience my fingers swelling! Some of it didn’t
help that I had an incredibly salty meal…
Best Moment this week: Finishing getting my classroom and lesson plans
done for the first week of school…and turning over keys to our renters!!! No
more working on two houses! Woo Hoo!
